Why do we have our child baptized?
Check out this short video!
Thank you for your interest in having your child baptized.
If you are an adult interested in baptism, please visit our RCIA page.
We encourage you to consider baptism preparation prior to the birth of your son or daughter, if you can. Taking the time now can help eliminate the need for baby
sitters and adds to the joyful anticipation of your child.
Baptismal Preparation Course
Prior to having a child/children baptized at St. Vital, parent(s) are required to attend a baptismal preparation course, which is held over one evening for about an hour and a half.
At the prep course, everything you need to know will be explained to you. Information will be provided on the Sacrament of Baptism, Godparents and other requirements, what to expect
on the day of the baptism, and how to complete the baptismal registration form. Parent(s) will have an opportunity to fill out the form that evening.
